Restrictions expected at the Port of Hamburg
This week, works council meetings are scheduled at all container terminals in Hamburg, which will result in restrictions in the handling of freight trains and trucks, some of which may last for days.
After strikes and IT problems have already caused massive delays and restrictions in the handling of containers in the Port of Hamburg in recent weeks and months, we anticipate further problems this week. The reason for this is that all container terminals are holding works meetings lasting several hours. The terminal operators Eurogate and HHLA have confirmed that operations at the terminals will be restricted as a result of the meetings.
