China ports hit by Covid restrictions

The outbreak is reportedly growing at nearby Tianjin. While the port is open, restrictions on truck drivers are causing delays. Carriers are changing vessel rotations at short notice to avoid badly impacted ports, diverting cargo for example to Shanghai, which is already severely congested.

We believe China may relax its zero-Covid policy after the Winter Olympics in Beijing, ending on 20 February, but have to warn of supply chain disruptions until then.
