Germany is "World Champion in Logistics"

Since 2007 The World Bank has been collecting data in the logistics industry as a benchmarking tool to help countries identify the challanges and opportunities they face in their performance on trade logistics. Germany has regurlary reached leading positions in this worldwide survey, ranking 1st in 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018.

The German Logistics Federation DLSV (Deutscher Speditions- und Logistikverband) praises the German potential in logistics but urges politics that determining factors have strong influence on performance. A financial basis has been formed for maintenance and expansion of German infrastructure on which logistics strongly depend – it is now the Federal Republic’s and Federal States’ turn to translate this into practice. According to the DSLV, the Human Factor plays an important role, as 570.000 people work in companies organized within the DSLV, underlining the logistics industry as an important job engine.
