Time limit for delivery of export containers in the Port of Hamburg to be extended to additional terminals

As early as December, trucking companies sounded the alarm: HHLA's CTA terminal in Hamburg could accept export containers no earlier than 48 hours before the arrival of the ship. Since the beginning of February, this regulation has also affected the CTB and CTT terminals. Eurogate is now following suit with its terminal from 16 February and will accept export containers no earlier than 72 hours before the ship arrives.

The background to this is that the container terminals in Hamburg have had to cope with high stock levels for some time: Massive ship delays have greatly increased the volume of containers in the port, so that external storage space is also currently in short supply. This is leading to massively rising prices for interim storage and handling.
