Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2

In total, 6,012 COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths in connection with COVID-19 have been reported in Germany. The number of cases continues to increase. The country has closed borders with Austria, Denmark, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

In order to decrease the burden on the health care system and because the situation is very dynamic, as of this coming Wednesday, the retail trade in the entire country will be closed and only places offering goods and services for the daily needs - supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations and banks - remain open. Nationwide, schools, theatres, operas, concert halls and museums are closed. Cafés and restaurants have to close at 18:00. Attending church services or coming together in clubs is prohibited, as are all other leisure activities. Private and public sports facilities, animal parks and playgrounds remain closed. Vacation trips inland and abroad are also prohibited. Business trips are not affected.

Our offices remain fully staffed and operational. We have, however, implemented an emergency plan which includes the possibility of home office work with all staff having access to our TMS (transport management system), Outlook and telephones.
